Summer reading club registration begins

Registration for summer reading club at the Washington Public Library will begin Wednesday, May 1. This summer’s theme is Dig into Reading. Parents can stop by the front desk to register and pick up a reading log and special events calendar for their children. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade will meet at 10 a.m. on Mondays beginning June 3. The three groups will be divided by the grade the reader has completed.

Preschool story time and Wee Read will be held on Tuesday mornings. Children who have completed preschool, or have currently attended story time will meet from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Parents with toddlers 18 months to 3 years will meet for Wee Read at 10:30.

Teens are invited to Lunch Bunch that begins at noon on June 3.

Several special family events have been scheduled during the month beginning with a juggling show June 6, at 6 p.m. All events are free and open to the public

The library asks that all participants register by May 29. Contact the library with any questions at 653-2726.
