Touring the project site
Mike Roe, chair of the Washington Airport Commission, speaks to U.S. Congressman Dave Loebsack on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Roe spoke about the $2 million grant from the Federal Aviation Association the airport received. The grant is going to be used toward replacing runway 1331. Once the project is complete the runway will be 60 feet wider, will have new concrete laid, and will have new lighting conduits and lighting installed. The project is estimated to begin next spring, Roe said.
