Jan 29, 2013

Missed free throws and turnovers cost the Washington junior varisty girls’ basketball team in a 40-38 loss to Keokuk on Friday night.

The Demons (10-9) went 7-for-18 from the free-throw line and coughed the ball up 21 times in the loss.

Sophomore Sydney Hoffman had eight points, seven rebounds and three steals to lead the Demons, and sophomore Rachael Hall added seven points and two assists. Sophomore Elle Van Gundy scored six points and grabbed four rebounds. Sophomore Jordan Stout and freshman Amber Salow scored four points apiece.
