Ventilation trailer classroom coming to Washington
“Managing Your Unseen Employee: The Ventilation System” is the title of a workshop for swine producers to be held in Washington, March 20, at the National Guard Readiness Center.
Hands-on demonstrations will be conducted using an enclosed mobile ventilation facility equipped with variable speed fans, inlets, a curtain, controllers and monitoring tools, and more. The classroom sessions include the basics of ventilation systems, effective temperature requirements, troubleshooting tools, techniques and other ventilation issues.
The workshops are available at no cost to participants. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a free lunch provided.
The ventilation trailer is a multi-state project with funding from Pork Checkoff and development by the land grant universities of Iowa State, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota State.
