Vittetoe played in 21 games for AIB this season
DES MOINES — Lauren Vittetoe of Washington recently finished her first season on the AIB women’s basketball team.
Vittetoe, a 5-foot-9 freshman guard, played in 21 games this season, starting four. She averaged 2.7 points per game for the Eagles and scored a season-high 13 points in AIB’s 68-66 loss at Central College on Dec. 5. She went 9-for-29 from beyond the 3-point arc and 10-for-14 from the charity stripe this season.
Vittetoe also averaged 1.5 rebounds per game, and she had a season-high six rebounds in her team’s 91-68 loss at William Penn University on Jan. 9.
A 2012 graduate of Washington High School, Vittetoe is the daughter of Don and Alicia Vittetoe.
AIB finished the season with a record of 5-23, including a 3-9 mark in the Midwest Collegiate Conference.
