WACO Homecoming Court
WAYLAND — WAYLAND — WACO schools will celebrate homecoming the week of Sept. 23 through Sept. 27.
The candidates for homecoming queen are Jaelyn Unternahrer, daughter of Jason and Des Unternahrer; Rosemary Skriver, daughter of Mike and Jackie Skriver; and Tympest Crawford, daughter of Tommy and Katie Crawford.
The homecoming king candidates are Dillon Douglas, son of Kara Geist and Eric Douglas; Jaden Chalupa, son of Sherise DeWolf and Scott Chalupa; and Mitchell Edgar, son of Sheri Edgar and Bill Edgar.
The king and queen will be announced and crowned during Boom Night festivities on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
There will also be a Powder Puff football game and a Boom Night pep rally on Wednesday
The homecoming parade begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 on Main Street in Wayland. A community pregame tailgate meal will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tailgating games and booths will be hosted by the student council. The WACO football team will face Danville at 7 p.m. The homecoming dance will follow the game and end at 11:30 p.m. The dance is for WACO high school students and pre-registered guests only. Admission includes pizza and dessert.
