Washington City Council to meet
The Washington City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 120 E. Main St.
The council will hear two special presentations — a department head report from the fire department and fiscal year 2011-12 audit report from CPA Associations.
Items on the agenda include an FFA request; purchase of a speed monitoring trailer; WWTP road status; an amendment to an agreement for consulting services with RDG Planning & Design; a resolution establishing a Housing Improvement Task Force and Making Appointments; second reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 136 – Sidewalk Regulations by adding section 136.20 Sidewalk Café License; a resolution adopting strategic priorities work plan for calendar years 2013 and 2014; a resolution assessing to taxes delinquent accounts; a resolution to accept, close and release final payment for the Highland Drainage Phase 2 Project; a resolution to accept, close and release payment for the 2012 Pavement Patching Project; a resolution to accept, close and release retainage for the 2012 Pavement Project; a resolution to accept, close and release retainage for the 2012 Overlay Project; and a resolution to accept, close and release of final payment for the South Avenue E Reconstruction Project.
The agenda also includes a closed session per Iowa Code Chapter 21.5(c) pending litigation.
