Washington County Historical Society
The Washington County Historical Society met on Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. at Conger House in Washington. Seven people attended.
Ferd Marie was presiding officer. A motion was made and carried to accept the old clockworks in the courthouse. Ideas were given for participating in the Washington 175th celebration next June. It was announced that the small-museums tour organized by Mike Zahs will still be held in November, but not on Nov. 9. House tours have been given to women from the Cotter Church and another group of friends. The sink has been installed in the working kitchen.
The next meeting will be held on Oct. 24 at 9 a.m. at Conger House.
