Washington JV boys finish well at Fort Madison
FORT MADISON – Members of the Washington junior varsity boys’ track team participated in a meet on Tuesday, April 1.
Jose Tapia won the 100-meter dash with his time of 11.73 seconds. Bryce Rickey won the 200-meter dash in 24.45. The 4x200-meter relay team of Bryce Craff, Rickey, Kyle Schindler and Tapia finished first in 1:41.16. Washington’s final first-place finish was in the 4x100-meter relay, in which Craff, Ethan Hanson, Rickey and Tapia finished in 48.63.
Finishing in second place in the 100-meter dash was Rickey in 11.74. Caleb Bex garnered another second-place finish for the Demons in the 110-meter hurdles with his time of 18.81.
A third-place honor was nabbed by Schindler in the 200-meter dash in 25.16.
Craff also placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.82. The 4x800-meter relay team of Michael Ellingson, Ryan Loy, David Mares and Bryce Sinn finished fourth in 10:55.18.
Schindler placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 12.03 and Bex finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 25.67.
