Washington man faces Class D felony charge
A Washington man remains in the Washington County Jail this morning in lieu of a $2,000 bond after being arrested early this morning for allegedly soliciting a child.
Tyler Lane Ousey, 19, of Washington was arrested at about 2:44 a.m. today at 608 E. Washington St., and charged with Lascivious Acts with a Child, a Class D felony that can bring up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
According to court records, the charges stem from a texting conversation Ousey allegedly had with a 12-year-old girl. The record said the girl’s mother had contacted deputies in reference to the conversation. The record also said that deputies asked Ousey if he would be willing to talk to law enforcement in reference to the incident, and he refused to do so.
