Washington seventh-graders take two of three at Keokuk
KEOKUK — The Washington seventh-grade boys’ basketball team won two of three games at Keokuk on Thursday.
The Washington A team blew out the Chiefs 37-17. Jack Redlinger scored 10 points to lead the Demons (6-2), and he also grabbed four rebounds. Jaivonn Willis added eight points, 15 rebounds and three assists, and Zeb Roos scored six points. Dalton Meyers contributed four points, five rebounds and three assists, and Kyle Fishback had four points and four rebounds. Cale Hobscheidt scored three points, and Jacob Van Osdol had two.
The Demon B team lost 17-15, dropping its third game of the season by two points or less. Mason Letts scored five points to lead Washington (4-4), and he also grabbed five rebounds. Matt Roder added four points and three boards, and Thomas Zimmer had three points and two rebounds. Hobscheidt scored two points, and Landon Hinkley had one. Van Osdol grabbed two rebounds, while Hobscheidt, Hinkley, Brennan Horak and Sam Donnolly each had one.
The Washington C team blanked Keokuk 17-0. Eric Sanchez scored six points and pulled down five rebounds to lead the Demons (6-2), and Zimmer added five points and four boards. Roder had four points and four rebounds in the contest, and Caleb Woodson rounded out the scoring with two points. Donnolly grabbed four rebounds, and John Lisauskas had three. Woodson and Letts both had a rebound.
