West Chester United Methodist Church
The West Chester United Methodist Women met Dec. 12, at the Applewood Bistro for lunch and a program. Letha Statler served as hostess. Ten members attended.
President Janet Bauer opened the business meeting with thoughts from "Living the Faith." The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. No treasurer's report was given.
Sharon Hahn reported that the Discover Life group put together Christmas baskets for area shut-ins.
Pat Dusenbery reported that crosses with a nativity scene were given to shut-ins from the United Methodist Women. The crosses were well received. They were put on their walls so they could enjoy them each day.
There will be no meetings in January or February. The next meeting will be a sewing day in March to make chest napkins for area nursing homes. Beverly Zehr and Nancy Bowen will be in charge.
Corinne Duvall presented the program "Upside Down Christmas." There were good thoughts about how people celebrate Christmas and sometimes forget the real meaning of Christmas.
