WHS National Honor Society inducts new members
The Faculty Council at Washington High School has named 27 new members to the National Honor Society. Twenty juniors and seven seniors were elected to membership.
The new junior members are: Kyle Basten, son of Tom and Sue Basten; Kolbi Breard, daughter of Brett and Monique Breard; Mackenzie Crawford, daughter of Mitchell and Debra Crawford; Ashley Diedrich, daughter of Cynthia Murphy; Sarah Greiner, daughter of Brant and Amy Greiner; Jacob Hennigan, son of Matt and Melissa Hennigan; Sydney Hoffman, daughter of David and Shelly Hoffman;
Kaitlin Hora, daughter of Brian and Theresa Hora; Paige Letcher, daughter of Kendal and Barbara Letcher; Stephanie Loy, daughter of Mark and Shawn Loy; Meredith Lumberg, daughter of Scott and Tori Lumberg; Grant Marek, son of Bradley and Mary Sue Marek; Macy Marek, daughter of Tim and Heather Marek; Caitlin Moravec, daughter of Mary Beth Moravec;
Kayla Schindler, daughter of Greg and Dawn Schindler; Alexandria Sinn, daughter of Greg and Pat Sinn; Jordan Stout, daughter of Tim and Julie Stout; Lauren Swan, daughter of Doug and Lori Swan; Emily Vittetoe, daughter of Don and Alicia Vittetoe; Michael Witt, son of Fred and Pam Witt.
Seniors named to membership are: Bailey Anderson, daughter of Steve and Rita Anderson; Kaytlyn Christner, daughter of Tracy Christner and Rodney Christner; Adam Guy, son of Danny and Cindy Guy; Michelle Holland, daughter of Michael Kent and Deb Holland; Tanner Knupp, son of Carl and Jackie Knupp; Graycen Murphy, daughter of Brian and Sonja Murphy; Jan Kristine Pingol, daughter of Jun and Frances Pingol.
To be eligible for membership, a 3.25 grade point average is required. Students are also considered for membership on the basis of character, leadership and service.
The local chapter of The American Association of University Women held a reception for the National Honor Society members and their parents at the United Presbyterian Church on March 25 at 7:30 p.m. At that time, these new members were inducted into the Society.
