The third annual Rock ‘n’ Ride was held Saturday, July 8, in which riders could take part in either a 17.6- or a 35.2-mile bicycle ride on flat highway and rolling hills on a scenic route between Washington and Riverside.

This ride was open to anyone, from cancer event supporters with little biking experience to avid bikers. A celebration for all ages was held in Washington, including lunch and family activities.

Net proceeds from the event benefit the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. This year’s ride was dedicated to Perry Rich, who died of brain cancer in 2016.
