Washington County 4-H cannot thank volunteers enough. They are a key component to what 4-H is all about in creating partnerships between caring adults and youth. Wednesday, March 6, the 4-H County Council thanked volunteers with a 4-H Volunteer Appreciation Supper.

This event was sponsored by the 4-H County Council that provided a walking taco bar and desserts to a variety of 4-H volunteers ranging from extension council members to 4-H youth committee to 4-H club leaders. The supper was held in conjunction with the spring 4-H leaders meeting at the extension office.

Volunteer Appreciation chairman and county council member Jacqueline Spenner explained how the high school 4-H'ers have much appreciation for the club leaders. “Leaders are the people that help us get to the point we are at now with 4-H. They have worked with us since the beginning in fourth-grade. They are very much appreciated.”
