Mar 05, 2018

Makenna Rich, of Washington, is the daughter of Matt and Maryjo Rich.

She attends Washington High School and is a member of the Washington Go-Getters.

Her projects include:photography and goats.

Her 4-H activity is being secretary of Go-Getters 4-H Club.

Makenna’s special memory/highlight is fair week.

“Fair week will be a week I will always remember,” Makenna said. “I loved spending my entire week at the fair, having water and mud fights with my friends, watching my brother race motocross, and showing my goats and learning from other 4-H kids.”

She recommends all children join a 4-H club.

“It’s not just for farm kids,” Makenna said. “I’ve learned responsibility, compassion and how important it is to give back. 4-H is special. You will never find a better group of friends to make memories with and who help each other and support each other.”

Besides 4-H Makenna is also involved in dance, gymnastics and spending time with her friends.

Her future plans are to attend Kirkwood Community College in the fall to receive a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
