4-H'ers dodged and jumped in big ways

Photo by: Washington County 4-H It is an annual 4-H Dodgeball favorite to end the day with an adult vs. 4-H'er game. Both sides of the gym were filled ready to dip, dodge and dive from the other team’s shots. 4-H’ers did win the competition this year.

The Washington County 4-H County Council held a 4-H Dodgeball Tournament on Sunday, March 10, at Washington High School. Twenty-one teams registered, with nearly 100 4-H’ers participating along with many parent cheerleaders. Sixteen out of the 18 4-H clubs were represented in the tournament.

In the Intermediate/Senior division, first place went to members of Jackson Jets 4-H Club team Average Joes. Members included Grant Marek, Macy Marek, David Hora, Jessica Hora, Wil Marek, Jack Carter, and Wyatt Stout. In the Junior Division, first place went to members of the Riverside Ramblers 4-H Club. That winning team included Matt Colbert, Zach Willman, Zane Arnold, Cael Yeggy and Grady Yeggy.

The Washington County 4-H County Council planned the event as a way for 4-H’ers to have fun and meet other members. Thanks to those who helped with the tournament and to Washington High School for the use of the gym.
