Abatement scheduled

Aug 14, 2014

Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson reported today that the owners of Goncho Apartments presented the city with a signed agreement with a firm to do methamphetamine clean-up at Goncho Apartments (pictured). The work should proceed within the next week. The building was declared a hazardous building. A 30-day extension has been given. Hinson said if the meth isn’t abated, the city could abate the meth and charge the owners for the work. He also said if the owners didn’t pay, a lien could be filed against the property.
