At the Library

By Jenisa Harris | Oct 09, 2017

As everyone soaks up the last bit of our extended summer the library is gearing up for some fun fall programs. The library will be having Books for Bingo at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14. The event is free for the entire family! The concept is simple. Get a bingo, win a book! Don’t worry, adults, we won’t leave you out. There will be an assortment of adult books as well. A perfect way to enjoy a relaxing fall day.

Do your kiddos ever wonder what it would be like to be a librarian? They are in luck! Join us for Junior Librarian Training Camp at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25. Learn the ins and outs of the circulation desk, the care and feeding of books, and ninja moves to survive the obstacle course. This event is free for first-to fifth-graders. Registration is required. You may register at the front desk of the library or e-mail Jenisa at jenisa.harris@washington.lib.ia.us.

These are the new materials available at the library this week.
