At the Library

By Jenisa Harris | Mar 12, 2018

The results are in!

Did your “Blind Date with a Book” sweep you off of your feet? Was it love at first sight or a total dud? Well, the results are in.

These books will sweep you off your feet:

“Wonder,” “All the Lights We Cannot See,” “Welcome to the World Baby Girl,” “The Nightingale,” “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto,” “The Curious Charm of Arthur Pepper,” “The Third Hill North of Town,” “The Martian,” and “The Whistler.”

These Books were So-So:

“It Had to Be You,” “The Closer,” “Hidden Figures,” “Hot Springs,” “Leaving Home,” and “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry.”

If you didn’t get a chance to participate in “Blind Date with a Book,” it’s never too late to take a chance on one of these books. You can decide for yourself if the book will sweep you off your feet or is a total dud.

Just a reminder, “Books & Brown Bags” will gather on the second floor readers lounge area, Tuesday, March 13, at noon. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, “The Dead,” a selection from James Joyce’s collection of short stories, “The Dubliners” will be read by Mimi Ritti Jacoby.

These are the new materials available at the library this week.
