At the Library

By McKenna Burdock | May 14, 2018

A lot has changed recently at the library! We have moved all adult nonfiction and media upstairs. Along with the additions of inventory, the layout has been rearranged. One of the long bookshelves has been removed. The art prints have been moved to the back where the Spanish collection was kept. The tables have been spread out more also to give the quiet area a more spacey feel. The Spanish collection has been moved downstairs to the section where the audio books were shelved.

The technology has also been advancing slowly. A while back, a display screen was added on the checkout wall closest to the juvenile section. It changes automatically through different pictures that have been taken of a variety of library functions. Along with this, all of the computer kiosks have been replaced by iPads. It is easier to look up items for patrons using the iPads instead of the computers. More changes will be happening through the summer, so stop in and see them!

These are the new materials at the library this week.
