The Iowa 4-H Shooting Sports program announced results for the 2013 Winter Postal competition. During the past winter months, 4-H members gathered at club range times to shoot and collect scores which were submitted for the winter season competition throughout the state.

Junior through senior Bows & Bullets members submitted scores in air rifle, archery-compound, archery-recurve and smallbore. Bows & Bullets 4-H Club earned the following honors:

Joe Dunbar, first Junior Air Rifle; Richard Dunbar, second Intermediate Air Rifle; Joseph Van Zante, second Intermediate Archery-Recurve.

Other participants included Kyle Basten, Reid Basten, Hunter Mast, Jack Streb, and Jacob Van Zante.

The Iowa 4-H Shooting Sports Program provides activities at all levels throughout the state to meet the goal to “empower youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with a caring adult through a shooting sports related activity.” 4-H members participate in their county or regional programs to develop as shooters.
