The Washington boys’ basketball team would win their first game Friday night against Keokuk 69 -47.

As a team they would have 24 defensive rebounds and 20 offensive rebounds for the evening.

“It was great to get the first win,” head basketball coach Collin Stark said. “I thought the guys played well and I was happy for them to see their hard work pay off with a win. The guys have been sticking to the process, so winning isn’t everything, but it’s nice to start seeing the results throughout the process. We will try to keep this win streak going this Thursday at Marion.”

Jack Redlinger would be the high scorer of the game with 17 points.

Cale Hobscheidt would follow up with 11 points and Blake Hartzler would have nine points.

The demons will travel to Marion Thursday evening for their last game before winter break.
