Charles and Ann Fredericks with their triplets, Anna, Delores and Caroline of Nashville, Tenn., and Carl and Christine Fredericks with Conner and Nathan of Oakland, Calif., visited their aunt, Caryl Smith, July 5-9. They went to Burlington on July 6. They visited their mother’s family home, church and the cemetery. They were joined several days by Caryl’s son Nelson and Jacklyn Smith of Brighton.

With help from the adults, the children enjoyed horseback riding, riding the four-wheelers and golf cart, and Barney’s Park. They are already making plans to come back next year.

On July 6, Sister Janet Kreber of Sioux City, and Winifred Fritz attended the memorial Mass for Earl Horras. It was held at St. Joseph-Mother Cabrini Church in Richland. They also stayed for the luncheon.

Janet was an overnight guest of Winifred’s from July 6-9. She went to Fairfield on July 7 to visit friends. On July 10 she left for Dubuque, before returning home.

J.D. Hollingsworth visited his grandmother, Winifred Fritz, July 7. They were joined for the evening meal by Virgil Symmonds, and Mary Stecker with friend Joel, all of Fairfield.

Chapter AQ, P.E.O., held a B.I.L. party on July 9. Twenty-three people attended. They dined at a Chinese restaurant in Washington. They went to the home of Hal Colliver to view his antique collections. A good time was had by all.

Their next meeting will be a social meeting. They will dine at the Bistro in Washington on Sept. 3.

Greg Fritz of Fairfield visited his mother, Winifred Fritz, on July 8.

Shirley Schooley visited her son, the Marty Schooley family, in Vernon Hills, Ill., July 2-9.

The Krony Krew Bridge Club met July 10 at the home of Phyllis Scheeler in Brighton. Prizes were awarded to Ginny Brinton, Shirley Schooley and Dorothy Miller. They will meet again on July24 at the home of Dorothy Miller.
