The Krony Krew Club met on April 23, at the home of Sarah Robison in Brighton. Bridge was played at two tables. Elaine Watson was a guest. The next meeting will be held May 14, at the home of Dorothy Miller.

J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood with fiance Becky of Fairfield visited his grandmother, Winifred Fritz on April 13. They were joined by his sister Bridget Hollingsworth, and their mother, Mary Stecker with fiance Joel, all of Fairfield, who provided the evening meal.

Joe Fritz took his mother, Winifred Fritz, to Iowa City on April 16.

Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met on April 15, at the home of Sarah Robison of Brighton. Diane Pacha was a co-hostess. Sixteen members were present.

The program was a book report presented by Sarah.

The next meeting, a brunch, will be held at 9 a.m. May 10, at the home of Rosemary Pacha. Co-hostesses will be Jan Eddy and Marcella Loeffler.

Rita Berry with Isaac and Megan of Bates City, Mo., arrived at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz, and stayed until April 20. On April 19, they traveled to Lockridge. They attended a baseball game to watch Winifred's grandsons, Branden and Malcolm, play. They are the children of Matt and Lucy Dietzman.

Ginny Brinton spent the week of April 12 at the home of her brother, Fritz and Nancy Gowey in Milan, Ill. She returned to Brighton on April 21.

Caryl Smith of Brighton had 21 friends and relatives at her home for Easter dinner. They arrived from Burlington, Fairfield, Keosauqua, Iowa City, and Brighton.

Donna Guy of Brighton celebrated her birthday and Easter at the home of her daughter, Deb and Dean Greiner of Brighton. Also present were Matt Greiner with Clayton of Fairfield, and Angie Greiner of Iowa City. They were joined by Donna's son, Dan and Cindy Guy with Andy, of Brighton.

Matt and Angie returned on Easter to visit their grandmother, Donna Guy.

Winifred Fritz hosted Easter dinner in her home. Those present included her children and families: Matt and Lucy Dietzman and sons of Keosauqua, Virgil and Jane Symmonds, Mary Stecker with finance Joel, all of Fairfield; Joe and Lori Fritz with Julia, Sophia and Michael of Brighton; and Rita Berry with Megan and Isaac of Missouri. Other grandchildren present included: Josh and Dawn Glotfelty and family of Bellevue, Neb.; Bridget Hollingsworth oif Fairfield; J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood; and Nathan and Rachael Germany with Coraline of Nevada, Iowa.

Winifred received phone calls from sons Greg, Charles, and Tony.

Craig and Sarah Sides of Olatha, Kan., are proud to announce the birth of their son. Holden Beckett was born at 6:49 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, in Kansas. He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Brantley, almost 2, is the proud older brother.

Local grandparents are Deb and Greg Fritz, and Ron and Barb Rominger, all of Fairfield.

Winifred Fritz of Brighton is a great-grandmother.
