Rita Berry of Bates City, Mo., visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, June 29- July 7. On July 2, Rita and Winifred went fishing with Winifred’s son Greg Fritz of Fairfield. Rita and Winifred went shopping in Washington on July 3.

Charles and Debra Fritz of Sigourney held a celebration at their home on July 4. Enjoying the evening meal were his mother, Winifred, of Brighton, and six of his seven siblings and families. Lucy and Matt Dietzman and sons were unable to attend. Earlier that afternoon, Rita Berry had attended a birthday party for her great-nephew, Brantley Sides. Brantley is the son of Craig and Sarah of Olathe, Kan. The party was held at the home of Sarah’s parents, Greg and Deb Fritz in Fairfield.

Winifred Fritz with children Rita Berry, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty, attended the wedding reception for Joel and Mary Boatright. It was held July 5 at the Boatright home in Fairfield.

Enjoying the evening meal July 6 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children, Joe and Lorie Fritz with Sophia of Brighton, Virgil and Jane Symmonds of Fairfield, and Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield.

Rita Berry returned home on July 7. She made a surprise visit in Keosauqua at the home of her sister Lucy and Matt Dietzman. It was the birthday of Malcolm and Branden. They were delighted to see their Aunt Rita.

Jason Roberts with a friend and family spent July 4 in Downing, Mo., visiting relatives.

The Mary Circle of the Brighton United Church met July 8 at Sweet Blessings Café in Brighton. Nine members were present. After dining, they went to the home of Shirley Schooley. Shirley gave the lesson on Bible Trivia.

The Krony Krew Bridge Club met on July 9 at the home of Shirley Schooley. They will meet again on July 23 at the home of Sarah Robison.
