Rita Berry with Megan of Bates City, Missouri, arrived Aug. 10 at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz. They returned home on Aug. 14. Lucy Dietzman with Branden and Malcolm of Keosauqua visited her mother, Winifred, Rita and Megan on Aug. 11. A bonfire and wiener roast was held at Winifred’s home the evening of Aug. 11. Joining the Berrys, the Dietzmans and Winifred were Winifred’s sons Tony and Lynn Fritz, and Joe and Lori Fritz with Sophia, Winifred’s daughter Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and J.D. and Becky Hollingsworth of Packwood.

Providing the evening meal of Aug. 13 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz. They enjoyed BLTs, sweet corn and homemade ice cream.

Winifred Fritz with son Greg of Fairfield attended the funeral for Kathryn Greiner. It was held on Aug. 14 at St. James Church in Washington.

Marty and Mary Schooley with Jack of Vernon Hills, Illinois, enjoyed lunch at the home of his mother, Shirley Schooley, on Aug. 15. They were taking Jack to Columbia, Missouri, to the university. Jack is starting his first year of college.

Gerald and Rosemary Pacha celebrated their anniversary in Moline with her sister Chris and Scott Turnipseed on Sunday, July 30. They enjoyed a tour of Quarters One on the rock Island Arsenal. It was the home of the senior officer assigned to Rock Island built in 1871. It is often called the Second White House because it was the second government residence built after the White House. Later they enjoyed brunch and a visit to Wallace Garden Center in Bettendorf.
