The Midwest Tea Festival was held Sept. 9-10 in Kansas City, Missouri. Rosemary Pacha met her sister, Susan Seglie of Pittsburg, Kansas, there on Saturday. They had fun tasting many different teas and seeing lots of tea things from all over the country. They attended the lecture by James Norwood Pratt, a famous American Tea Sage and author. Rosemary got to meet him personally and have him sign his book for her.

Angela Garmoe with Christopher of Mount Pleasant visited her mother, Pat Remington, on Sept. 15. Pat and Christopher went to Oskaloosa to spend the weekend with his brother, Cody and Makenzie. Pat and Christopher met Angela in Olds on Sept. 17.

Enjoying the afternoon and evening meal of Sept. 17 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her daughter, Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and J.D. and Becky Hollingsworth of Packwood. They enjoyed looking at old-time pictures. Joining them briefly were Winifred’s son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Lynn Fritz.

Nelson Smith with his mother, Caryl Smith, left Sept. 14 for Fairmont, Minnesota. They met Caryl’s son David of Clearbrook, Minnesota. Caryl went home with David to spend the weekend with him and his wife, Diane. An early birthday party was held for Caryl on Sept. 16. The guests included David and Diane’s sons and families. They arrived from Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Fosston and Bagley in Minnesota. Caryl and David met Nelson in Fairmont on Sept. 17. Nelson and Caryl returned to Brighton.
