Julia Fritz, daughter of Joe and Lori Fritz, was a cast member of the musical comedy “The Addams Family” in Fairfield. Attending the play on April 20 were her grandmother, Winifred Fritz, with son Tony and Lynn, of Brighton, and Winifred’s daughter Rita Berry, of Missouri.

On April 22, Winifred and Rita were joined by Winifred’s daughter Lucy Dietzman, of Keosauqua. Lucy tilled Winifred’s garden while Rita and Winifred planted flowers. Enjoying the evening at Winifred’s home on April 22 were Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz. Rita returned home to Missouri on April 23, so she could work at the Royals baseball game in Kansas City.

Winifred Fritz received word that Jim Arndt, of St. George, Utah, had died on April 23. Jim was Winifred’s first cousin by marriage.

The Krony Krew Club met April 25 at the home of Ginny Brinton. Guests were Elaine Andeway and Shirley Van Dee, both of Richland. Bridge was played at two tables. Their next meeting will be held May 9 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson.

A group from Brighton who helped in the butterfly garden that was started last year along the highway in Brighton, attended the Iowa State Butterfly Consortium meeting. It was held last week at the Iowa State University research farm near Crawfordsville.

Rosemary Pacha was in West Des Moines on April 10 to give a tea program. She spoke at the Edgewater Wesley Retirement Center.
