Joe and Marlene Stufflebeam hosted a barbecue at their home on July 7.

Those present included their children: Chancey and Sara with Ava, of Marion; Cameron and Shannon with Jeneva and Isabel, of Ankeny; and Bethany and Jeremy Horning with Chase and Cooper and Cooper’s fiancé, Will, of Tiffin. They were joined by Marlene’s sisters and their families: Janice and Dave Schlicher with Mandy and Shawn Moore and sons, and Lance Schlicher, all of Fairfield; Tracey and Mike Hellweg with Jarrett, Josh and Kendra Hellweg, all of Fairfield; and Jeremy Hellweg and daughter, of Cambridge.

Tony and Angela Garmoe with James, of Mount Pleasant, visited her mother, Pat Remington, on July 11.

Winifred Fritz with Tony and Lynn Fritz attended the 60th wedding anniversary open house for Winifred’s cousin James and Eileen Moeller, of Washington. It was held July 8 at the K.C. Hall in Washington.

The Crawford family’s annual reunion was held July 8 at Sunset Park in Washington. Approximately 20 people attended from Fairfield, Iowa City, Brighton, Rubio and Keota.

Travis Remington and Jamie with Coraline, of Cosby, Tennessee, will be in Brighton July 27.

A cake-and-punch reception will be held at the Brighton Community Building from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends are welcome to stop in and visit.

Joel and Mary Boatright, of Fairfield, visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, on July 9. They worked in her garden and did some yard work that afternoon.

Ginny Brinton attended the Hap and Mabel Guy family reunion July 7 at the Lake Darling Lodge.

The Rosary-Altar Committee of St. Joseph/Mother Cabrini Church met July 10 at the church in East Pleasant Plain. Final plans were made for their annual bazaar, auction and dinner, which will be held Aug. 26.

The Krony Krew Club met July 11 at the home of Ginny Brinton. Bridge was played at two tables. Sherry Cobb and Elaine Andeway, both of Richland, were guests. Sarah Robison will host the July 25 meeting at her home.
