Brighton plans summer day camps

Brighton youth, get ready for summer recreation! Are you looking for a day of fun and hands-on activities? Look no further! The City of Brighton and Brighton Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring their fourth year of summer day camps for Brighton area youth.

Day camps for youth who have completed kindergarten through third grade will be held July 22-24 and July 29-31.

Each day will be a different theme and will be filled with games, experiments, field trips, exploring, playing, and friends. Camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Youth should be dropped off and picked up at the Brighton Community Center. Summer day camps are free to Brighton area youth. Bring a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided.

The day camps will be presented by Washington County Extension and will be led by Jodi Ebert, Summer Day Camp coordinator.

Registration deadline is July 5. Registration forms may be picked up at Brighton City Hall or at the Washington County Extension Office. Contact Washington County Extension at 319-653-4811 with any questions or to get registered.
