Ten candidates have filed papers for the Republican and Democrat primaries on June 3.
Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer said yesterday was the last day to file the papers.
Three candidates are running unopposed for their positions. Those positions include: Jo Greiner for recorder, Jeff Garrett for treasurer, and Richard Young for Washington County Supervisor District 5.
Washington County Supervisor District 3 has the largest amount of candidates who have filed to run for that position, Widmer said.
“There are two Democrats and two Republicans running for Steve Davis’ spot,” Widmer said. “Steve is choosing not to run, but his twin brother, Scott, is running.”
The four candidates for the District Three supervisor seat include: Abe Miller (R); Scott Davis (R); Keith Cutkomp (D); and Ceanne Alvine ( D).
The other contested race is for Washington County Attorney. Shawn Showers and Larry Brock have filed to run as Republicans, and Barb Edmondson has filed to run as a Democrat.
