Carolyn Jean Fleming, 68, of Brighton, died July 28, 2017, at Jefferson County Heath Center. She had been in failing health.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. immediately preceding the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorial gifts may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lisa at 2217 N. Eden Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99016. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.

She was born October 28, 1948, in Fairfield to Richard Lee and Betty Jean Bruders Fleming. Carolyn grew up in Fairfield and attended Fairfield High School and Kirkwood Community College. She worked in the Fairfield Glove Factory, the Calendar Factory in Washington and at Wal-Mart in Washington.

She is survived by her children: Tim Zaragoza of Bonney Lake, Wash., David Zaragoza (Lily) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Leslie Allender (Jim) of Washington, Lisa Ray (Scott) of Spokane Valley, Wash.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Betty Bruders Goff of Coppock; five brothers: Tom Fleming (Christie) of Vancouver, Wash., Bob Schoolen (Dorene) of Coppock, Larry Fleming of St. Charles, Mo., Doug Fleming, of Bloomfield, Richard D. Fleming of Mattoon, Ill.; one sister, Debbie Swisher of St. Joseph, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, one sister Linda Fleming Arbogast, and her grandparents Earl and May Bruders and Charles and Jesse Fleming.
