Chilcote Questers

Apr 04, 2013

The March 7 meeting of Chilcote Questers was called to order at 7 p.m. by president Mary Levy. Roll call was answered by “A favorite dessert of mine that my Mother made.” Nine were in attendance. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The treasurer’s report was approved as given. A thank-you was read from the DAR Log Cabin for a recent donation.

The trip committee will report at the May meeting. The trip is planned for June 1, 2013. The groups were reminded there is no April meeting, since most are expected to attend State Day in Iowa City on the 12th and 13th. Each is to register herself.

The next meeting is May 2, at Nita Lovick’s home, with Jackie Ross giving the program, Jekyll Island Adventures.

The program was each person displaying an unusual antique of her own and describing it, with discussion ensuing. The meeting was held at the Washington Public Library, and adjourned around 9:10 p.m. Dessert served by Mary Levy, acting co-hostess, followed.
