The Washington United Methodist Women held their June meeting with a Ladies Night Out event on June 9. Marilyn Whitenack and Marilyn Klise were in charge.

About 90 members and guests attended. The evening began with a viewing of the 11 decorated tables displayed and hosted by various members. The theme for the evening was Rosie the Riveter, and many tables reflected a patriotic theme. President Vic Patterson welcomed the attendees. Marilyn Klise gave a short tribute in memory of Kay Bennett, who had been instrumental in several past Ladies Night Out events. Ilene Schnicker gave the prayer. The featured meat was pork loin, with assorted salads brought by members. The theme of red, white and blue was carried out in the salads as well as the deserts. The very informative program of Rosie the Riveter was given by Janet Peterson and Sharon Wagner. Members were dressed in appropriate attire like Rosie.
