The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Reese residence. Ten members were present.

President Sophie Bell led the meeting. Samantha Mellinger led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was: What favorite memory do you have from this year at County or State fair? The secretary’s minutes were read by Ellie Todd and approved by Ellie Bell. Zoey Dennler seconded them. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer’s report. Ally Reese approved the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Natalie McCleary.

In Old Business, All Green Acres members shared their accomplishments at both County and State Fair. Bailey Reese motioned to assemble the Board of champions and herdsmanship board at Bells for the club community service project. Green Acres members talked about different fundraisers. They came up with Unc & Neff’s, and a bake sale in front of Fareway. Ellie Bell motioned to have a bake sale on Sept. 30, seconded by Natalie McCleary.

In New Business, all record books are due Sept. 24. Everyone shared different activity ideas for the upcoming meetings. They elected the new officers of the Green Acres club. The elected President of the upcoming 2018 year is Ellie Bell. Vice president Ellie Todd. Treasurer Sophie Bell. Secretary Baylee Stalder. Recreation Ally Reese. Photographers- Natalie McCleary and Zoey Dennler. Ellie Bell motioned to remove Historian from the officer position and create a photographer position. Seconded by Joe McCleary

Joe McCleary motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ellie Bell.

Baylee Stalder led the 4-H pledge.

The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building.
