The regular meeting of the Washington go-Getters 4-H Club was held on Feb. 11, in the downstairs portion of the Extension office building, hosted by Evanses, Wagners, and Ava Wulf.

The meeting was called to order by president Leah Evans at 6:32 p.m. Roll call for the meeting was “If you have a nickname, what is it? If you don’t, what’s a nickname you would like to have?” Treasurer Hailey Shultz reported on the checking account balance.

In old business, Walker Ikerd talked about the group’s meeting at Halcyon House and what they all liked about it. The group was informed that dues needed to be paid immediately and that an email had already been sent to the parents.

In new business, John talked about the club’s philanthropy project. The philanthropy project was to clean up the cemeteries and decide what signs the members would like to make. Financing will be the first priority. Members were reminded of the Feb. 18 4-H Fire Up from 1:30 to 4 p.m. for any member who was new or had been in 4-H for three years or fewer, and interested members needed to RSVP by Feb. 12. The rabbit workshop was scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 17 at the Extension office. The photography workshop was scheduled for 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 17 at the Extension office. The leadership development program was scheduled for 6 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the Extension office. Single-source commercial swine registration was due March 1. The bucket bottle calf meeting was scheduled for 7 p.m., March 5, at the Extension office. The group learned that the FSQA training was online, and computers would be available in the Extension office on March 17 to complete testing; and that the dodgeball tournament was back on and would be held on March 25.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:56 p.m.

The 4-H pledge was recited by Collin Murphy; and talks were given by Caden Evans on Crockpot Little Smokies, Leah Evans on her father’s hand, Hailey and Hunter Shultz on “Showing and Raising Sheep,” and Ava Wulf on “How to Make Slime.”
