The Chilcote Questers meeting on March 1 was called to order by President Mary Levy. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given. Payment was asked for the books each member took at the February meeting.

A discussion of state donations occurred. Virginia moved, Marilyn seconded, to send donations to the 4-H, Terrace Hill and P&R Restoration funds. Motion carried. The group decided to pass on the glass fund, because of the lack of display area in the Ames museum, and also the president’s project, which was not clear.

Phyllis suggested a tractor display for the library during the Tractor Cavalcade visit. The project needs more work. Virginia announced that Allie will be at the April meeting to make a presentation regarding the shelving and display area for the Chilcote-donated antique books.

Dues are due in April. Addresses will be updated and corrected w/ the dues payments.

The June trip report will be given in April by Phyllis and Virginia.

Mary discussed the possibility of a Riverboat Foundation grant as a road to a Conger House or DAR historic project, which might glean more money than the club’s coffers have to offer.

The April 5 meeting was held at Kathleen Almelien’s with co-hostess Wendy Langan.

The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m. followed by a very interesting program about dolls, given by Marj Lins. Marj was also co-hostess. The meeting was at Virginia McCurdy’s house.
