College News: UNI

May 01, 2014

Four University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Theatre students were selected to participate in the "Research in the Capitol" day. The students are Sam Card, Sean Klippel, Tyler Gracey and Mackenzie Roth. Roth is the daughter of Steve and Tammy Roth of Washington.
She graduated from Washington High School in 2009, and from the UNI in 2013.

"Research in the Capitol" is a collaborative effort of the honors programs of the three Regents' universities and is intended to celebrate undergraduate research in a variety of fields. Students from the three state institutions presented their research in poster format from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in the first-floor Rotunda of the Iowa Statehouse. State senators, representatives and other key officials will be invited to view their poster presentation and talk with them about research and education.

The students' poster was titled "Imagine the Possibilities: Impact of Drama on the Development of Social Skills Among Youth on the Autism Spectrum."
