Columbus falls at Highland

RIVERSIDE — Columbus suffered a 15-3 five-inning loss to Highland in Tuesday’s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division baseball game.

Junior Kenan Todd had a double and drove in two runs to lead the Wildcats (0-4, 0-4 SEISC North), and sophomore Mitchell Griffin had a double and an RBI. Senior Eli Sents also hit a double, while senior Derek Paetz and junior Alberto Tompkins chipped in singles.

Griffin started took the loss for Columbus. He allowed seven runs, two of which were earned, on two hits in two innings. Griffin struck out two batters and walked five.
