Columbus falls to Central Lee

COLUMBUS JUNCTION — The Columbus volleyball team lost to visiting Central Lee in four sets in a Class 3A regional quarterfinal on Oct. 22. The Hawks won by scores of 25-13, 24-26, 25-18 and 25-16.

Senior Megan Pretz spiked down seven kills to lead Columbus, and sophomore Kelsey Pretz had five kills and four assists. Junior Brooklyn Milder had six assists.

Freshman Laura Mincks was 11-for-11 serving with three aces. Megan Pretz was 13-for-13 from the serving line, and Kelsey Pretz was 11-for-11.

Megan Pretz had a team-high 11 digs, and Mincks had eight. Kelsey Pretz chipped in six digs.

The Wildcats finished with a record of 6-22, losing their last seven matches of the season.
