Abel Mena led the Wildcat offense, finishing the game with 125 yards on the ground and 71 yards through the air, including a 27 yard touchdown pass to Tommy Pretz.

Abel becomes more confident with each game, and he doing a great job of distributing the ball to his teammates.

Wilton posed a physical challenge defensively, and the Wildcat offense showed brief glimpses of what we can do with the ball.

As the season progresses, we will continue to diversify our attack and distribute the work load more evenly.

Chance Colby showed what he could do with the ball in the open field when he ran a kickoff back for a 60 yard gain Nick Hernandez gave us a great defensive effort, ending the night with 4 solo tackles and 6 assists.

It was a hard-hitting, physical game, and we played tough defense, although the score does not indicate so.

Looking forward to next Friday, we host Louisa Muscatine for our 2017 Homecoming.

The Falcons are under new leadership, and our staff has seen their improvement from game 1 to last Friday, when they beat Van Buren.

This rivalry is always one of the most physical games we play, as each team brings an extra competitive edge to the contest.

Last year was a close game, and we expect this week to be the same.

We will try to get more consistency out of our running game, and we need to see great improvement in our play up front.

We are young on the line, but our underclassmen are improving every day.

Our defense will be challenged by a Falcon offense that has grown with each week.

They throw the ball well, and can balance that with a good running game.
