The Washington County Conservation Board will host its annual viewing of the Iowa State versus University of Iowa football game Saturday, Sept. 9, at its Education Center in Marr Park.

The event is open to the public. The doors will open at 10 a.m. and the game will begin at 11 a.m.

Family fun events are scheduled for the day. Those attending are encouraged to bring yard games and a prepared dish for a potluck lunch for the half-time of the game. The event is smoke and alcohol-free. The game will be shown on a large screen TV.

During the game, the conservation staff will conduct drawings for door prizes, donated by local merchants. The event is intended to be a family-fun afternoon in one of Iowa’s premier parks.

Registration is requested, but not required.

Those planning to attend can call the center at 319-657-2400.
