Cookies advertise National 4-H week

Oct 09, 2017
4-H County Council members, 4-H’ers and parents, gathered to organize and deliver Blue Ribbon Cookies to community partners of 4-H.  4-H Youth Committee member Kerri Bell assisted with packaging while 4-H’ers Sonja Cochran, Jenah Greiner, Leah Evans and Madison Ross sorted out cookies.

Just over 1,000 cookies were baked by 4-H families, exchanged, and repackaged as Blue Ribbon Cookies plates that will w delivered throughout the county as a part the National 4-H Week celebration. This year cookies are being distributed to help advertise the events of National 4-H Week Oct. 1-7.

This Blue Ribbon Cookie Buffet was designed to share one of the many talents of 4-H’ers with the county – baking! Over 60 plates of cookies were delivered to 4-H sponsors throughout the county as a “thank you” for all they do to support Washington County 4-H and to help advertise ways to get involved during National 4-H Week. To get involved with the 4-H program in Washington County, as a member or volunteer, please contact the Washington County Extension Office, 319-653-4811.
