County Conservation Board to meet

The Washington County Conservation Board will hold the monthly meeting at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13, in the Conservation Education Center in Marr Park.

Items on the agenda include timber stand improvement at English River Wildlife Area including potential harvest; planning and scheduling timber stand improvements at Sockum Ridge Recreation Area; changing the board's regular meeting date, planning improvements to Marr Park, including a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant application in 2014 with potential components  to include upgrading the Shelter 4 area, including the building, kiosk, playground, paving and shower house; creation of subcommittees to review conservation staffing, programming and exhibits; Conservation Education Center's maintenance and improvement needs project updates; Thomas Marr Lake proximity upgrade; Trees Forever grant application review for amenities associated with the paved trials at Marr Park; and review of monthly reports.
