The Wyman Community Club met Monday, May 6, at the Ainsworth Four Corners for lunch at 11:30 a.m., with 24 in attendance.

Those attending were Keith and Pat Jones, Lorrine Frame, John and Betty Wittrig and Laura McPhail, all of Winfield and their guest, Lacy Jump of Lexington, Ky.; Vivan and Eileen Jennings from Columbus Junction; Robert and Lucille Humphreys, Merl and Frieda Finke, Ruth Erwin, Pauline Richardson and Fern Clang of Crawfordsville; Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth; Wilma Vosburg of Grinnell; Norm Waters of Fairfield and Al and Adeline Sents, Audrey Finke, Joann Love and Peggy Buffington of Washington.

Vivan Jennings treated everyone to German chocolate cake.

The group will meet again on Monday, June 3, at 11:30 a.m. at the Ainsworth Four Corners.

Seven members of the White Cloud Club met on Tuesday, Mary 7, at the home of Julia Bletscher. Pauline Richardson opened the meeting with Best Friends from “Tea Time with God.”

Roll call was answered by members telling where they like to shop or what store. Most reported they go to the grocery store more than any other.

Frieda Finke read the minutes of the last meeting and also gave the treasurer’s report.

A gift was given to a member that had surgery. There were no mystery sister gifts.

A plant and bulb/seed exchange was held. Members also attempted a word find.

Ice cream and cake was served by the hostess and enjoyed by all.

Those attending were Pauline Richardson, Lennis Beichter, Betty Lucas, Joyce Huff, Jolene Colthurst, Betty Lintz and Frieda Finke.

The group will meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. June 4, at Tazza Bella in Mt. Pleasant.

The HACAP Fish Fry will be held Sunday, June 2, at the United Church of Crawfordsville from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be deep-fried fish, potatoes, coleslaw, bread and butter and dessert.

Cost of the meal is bags of groceries and paper supplies for HACAP. Outdated canned goods or home-canned goods cannot be accepted. Any questions may be answered by calling the church.

The Lions will sponsor a blood drive at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Monday, June 3.
