Visitors Sunday in the home of Billie Jo Rose were Lorie Weigert and son Jacob of Hiawatha.

The Wyman Community Club met Monday, June 3, for an 11:30 a.m. luncheon at the Ainsworth Four Corners.

Nineteen were present including Keith and Pat Jones, Lorrine Frame, John and Betty Wittrig, and Laura McPhail, all of Winfield and friend Lacy Jump of Lexington, Ky.; Vivan and Eileen Jennings from Columbus Junction; Robert and Lucille Humphreys, Ruth Erwin, Elaine Prom and Pauline Richardson of Crawfordsville; and Audrey Finke, Peggy Bufffington, Joann Love and Al and Adeline Sents of Washington.

Keith and Al treated everyone to strawberry cake for their birthdays.

The club will meet again on July 1, at 11:30 at the Ainsworth Four Corners.

Ten members of the White Cloud Club enjoyed an 8:30 a.m. breakfast on Tuesday, June 4, at Tazza Bella’s in Mt. Pleasant

Those attending and enjoying quiche, scones and coffee were Pat Miller, Julia Bletscher, Lennis Beichter, Betty Lintz, Betty Lucas, Virginia Sands, Pauline Richardson, Joyce Huff, Jolene Colthurst and Carrie Coble.

Pat opened the meeting with roll call and everyone shared their favorite card or board game. Minutes and treasurer’s report were given and approved. Two bills were paid.

Virginia Sands will be hostess for the July 2 meeting at 1:30 p.m.

Swedesburg’s annual Midsummer Celebration is scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 25. The Scandinavian Quartet from Sweden will present the program. The four saxophonists were in Swedesburg one year ago for the the annual celebration and they presented a program of beautiful music and everyone is very pleased to have them again this year.

The event is free and open to the public. Free-will offerings are always appreciated to help defray expenses of the entertainers.

Helen Lease accompanied her daughter, Christine Stauffer of Mt. Pleasant, to St. Robert, Mo. , May 24-25 to attend the graduation of Breeannah Marsh, daughter of Doug and Crystal Marsh from Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Mo. Glen Hesseltine and Josh Hesseltine also attended the reception on Saturday in the Marsh home.
