There will be Young Adult Canoe Trip for the United Church of Crawfordsville and the Ainsworth Community Church young adults (no children) on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to  2 p.m., on the Skunk River. Those going are asked to meet at Marr Park at the shop at 9:15 a.m. Pam Holz will be the guide. There are only 20 spaces available, so anyone interested needs to contact Pastor Jason as soon as possible.

The Crawfordsville Community Club will hold its first Christmas in July Ice Cream Social on Sunday, July 28, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Watertower Park (City Park) in Crawfordsville. Everyone is asked to bring their own lawn chair, bowl, spoon and drinks. Ice cream will be provided and a free-will offering will be accepted.

Fire Truck rides will be given. There will be a sprinkler for the kids, an Ugliest Shorts and Tank Top Contest, Christmas Caroling and Kids Coloring Contest. Pictures with Santa can also be purchased.

The United Church of Crawfordsville will hold Vacation Bible School from 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 29 to Aug. 2. Those 3 years old up to sixth grade are welcome and those older are welcome to come help. There will be lots of games, crafts, prizes and treats.

The theme will be “SONWEST ROUNDUP,” a Rip-Roarin’ Good Time with Jesus!, a time for fun and adventure in the Wild West.

If you know of anyone who would like to come, call the church office at 319-658-2366 or Becky Kramer at 319-461-4454 or Pastor Jason at 563-343-3390.
