Lunch was enjoyed by 10 members of the White Cloud Club at the Ainsworth Four Corners on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013.

The club has now been in existence for 73 years as a neighborhood club.

In the absence of President Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson opened the meeting with two readings, “Autumn” and "Autumn Leaves.”

Roll call was answered by each naming their favorite dessert and also trying to guess their Mystery Sister.

Token gifts were opened.

Frieda Finke read the minutes of the club picnic and also the September Club Tour. There was no old business and correspondence was read from Pat Miller, who had been hospitalized recently.

New officers were elected for the coming year. They are: president, Lennis Beichter; vice president, Joyce Huff; secretary-treasurer, Betty Lintz; reporter-Pauline Richardson; and assistant reporter, Betty Lucas.

Programs for the next year were discussed and dues paid.

Those attending were: Lennis Beichter, Julia Bletscher, Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Betty Lucas, Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands and Wanda Schultz.

The next meeting will be on Nov. 5, at 1:30 p.m.. with Betty Lintz.

The United Church of Crawfordsville will hold its Annual Harvest Supper and Sale on Saturday, Oct. 19. The supper begins at 4:30 and runs until 6:45 p.m. On the menu is creamed chicken and biscuits, beefburgers, salads and pies and drinks. A free-will donation will be taken for the supper.

The sale begins at 7 p.m. with David Erwin serving as auctioneer.

There will be baked goods, homemade items, woodworking items and much more. Anyone wishing to donate grain should contact Craig Koehler.

A reminder that on Friday evening, Oct. 11, there will be an open house to view the parsonage from 6 to 8 p.m. Fun night will begin at 8 p.m. There will be a lot of fun roasting marshmallows, drinking homemade hot chocolate and viewing an outdoor movie and bonfire. There will also be Halloween costume judging. This takes place at 212 N. Washington St., in Crawfordsville.
