The regular meeting of Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society was held Monday, May 22, at the Old United Church of Christ.

Vice President Joan Rodgers called the meeting to order and opened the meeting with the group singing the Sword of Gold.

Fifteen members answered roll call by telling if they were a morning or a night person.

Glenda Alvine gave meditations with a reading by Reba McEntire.

Minutes of the previous months meeting were read and approved.

Correspondence: A request for a transfer of membership was received, a thank you was read from the T.T.T. Iowa State Board for the Project donation and a reminder that the Treasurer’s Reports are due on November 1.

The treasurer’s report was given by Marlys Fear and will be filed for audit.

Committee Reports:

Camp Girls’ Gifts: Cards had been sent.Ways and Means: T-shirts may be picked up from Leah Woline. The chapter worked for tips at the Pizza Ranch in Mount Pleasant on May 31 and at Washington on June 12.

Camp Girls-Three girls and their mothers were in attendance and showed items purchased by the chapter for camp. Refreshments were served after the girls showed their gifts.

Missy reminded members to pay their donation toward camp fees. Nancy, Tina and Barb will take the girls to camp on Sunday, June 11. They will return on June 16.

Program for the next meeting: Leah Woline and Tammy Erwin will be hostesses for the June 26 meeting which will be held at the Olds United Church of Christ. The Camp girls will give their report and there will also be a Founders Day celebration.

New Business: Bills were presented a motion made and seconded to pay them.

By-Laws Update: Each member should review the by-laws for changes and report them at the next meeting.

Joan thanked Tina and Missy for refreshments.

As there was no further business the meeting adjourned with the closing creed. The next meeting will be Monday, June 26 at the Old United Church of Christ.

A reminder to everyone that the Crawfordsville Community Club/Crawfordsville Lions Club is sponsoring Crawfordsville Fun Days beginning Friday June 30 with an outdoor family movie at the Fire Station at 9 p.m. On Saturday morning, the fire department will host a breakfast from 6 - 9 a.m. and will feature Breakfast Burrito’s. Proceeds are going for repair of Engine 2 , which is in need of a new water tank.

There are many events taking place throughout the day, including a tractor and car show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. At 10:00 a.m. there will be a parade. There is ball tournament, many games, contests and a pedal pull. The Lions club will serve lunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. There will be a dinner from 5 -6:30 p.m. hosted by the Community Club at the Fire Station.
